It’s summer and my schedule has gone from super-structured to extremely loosey-goosey. I planned an awesome few months of content for the blog and well, the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry.
Lemme explain.
You remember at the beginning of the year when I laid out my goals to be intentional with my family?…this is it.
Usually, my son goes to summer camp and I have a little more time to finish projects, blog, and work. This year we kinda took a left turn with camp. We decided not to do camp at all and have #campmom. THAT means, sadly, I have little time to actually blog this summer.
I wake to pray at 4:50 am and work my part-time job from 6-11am. He wakes at about 8, does his own prayer time, Bible reading and journaling, chores, breakfast, and playtime. My hubby is around to hang out with him until about 9. I take a breather, clean up a bit and by 12:30 pm we are out the door hanging out for a new adventure every day.
So far we’ve gone to the beach, Busch Gardens, the library, built some robotics and gone to the pool. We’ve got a whole map of activities I’ve found—lots of them free. Our biggest goal this summer is to really explore things we’ve never done before.
We’re going fishing, hiking, tubing, crafting and taking a trip to the sponge docks.
The past few weeks have been absolutely awesome and though I love my blog, I would not trade these days I have with him for the world. So I’m putting this thingy on pause. Not exactly the best business decision, I admit, but sometimes trades are necessary when making room for what matters most.
Sometimes trades are necessary when making room for what matters most.J will be going off to a one-week camp with the church and during that time, Lem and I are going on a much needed romantic getaway.
I MISS chatting with you soo much and it’s only been two weeks! However, my son is nine, and I don’t have very many “mommy I want to hang out with you” moments left.
I’ll be checking off several goals this summer even if I’m not writing. So I’m certainly not leaving you off the hook with yours! If I do find some time to do a project or write a post, I hope you’ll be around. I will at least keep up with my monthly wallpapers because I know you LOVE free stuff.
